BAPTISM REQUIREMENTS
Birth Certificate: A birth certificate or hospital letter confirming the child’s birth is needed.
Parental Registration: Parents must be registered with the parish.
Catholic Upbringing: At least one parent must be Catholic, ensuring a reasonable expectation that the child will be raised in the Catholic faith.
Godparents: Must be confirmed, practicing Catholics.
FIRST COMMUNION REQUIREMENTS
Baptism: The child must be baptized, with their baptism certificate on file with the parish.
Religious Education: Participation in a religious education program is mandatory.
Sacramental Preparation: The child and parents must complete First Communion preparation materials.
Mass Attendance: Regular Mass attendance is required for both the child and their parents.
CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENTS
Sacramental History: The individual must be baptized, confirmed, and have received First Holy Communion.
Age: Must be 14–16 years old.
Active Parish Membership: The individual should actively participate in parish life and regularly attend Mass.
Marriage (if applicable): Married individuals must have a Catholic Church-blessed marriage.
Preparation: At least two years of catechetical preparation is required.
MARRIAGE IN THE DIOCESE OF ST. AUGUSTINE
Initial Meeting: Meet with a priest or deacon at least 8 months before the planned wedding date to begin preparation.
Marriage Preparation Course: Attend a Pre Cana or Engaged Encounter course to deepen your understanding of the sacrament.
